Sustainability is a powerful catalyst to mobilise parents within the school community
and strengthen the bonds between homes and schools in Singapore.
Our Goal
Mobilise a team of 500 parent leaders via one network to collaborate in partnership with schools on sustainability matters and to reinforce environmental education and sustainable consumption from home.
The Network aims to create awareness on the SG Green Plan 2030, Sustainable Development and climate-change related matters within the school context. Through knowledge campaigns, community talks and a monthly newsletter, the Network shall nurture environmentally conscious and informed parents and citizens who walk the sustainability talk.
The Network aims to initiate joint projects on sustainability in partnership with schools, and involve parents, students and community members to foster a sense of shared responsibility. Together, we can increase our impact towards the achievement of the SG Green Plan targets, and grow from small scale activities to a nation-wide movement. We look for Parent Eco Stewards in each school in Singapore!
The Network aims to empower parents with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to understand key concepts of sustainability and apply them in real-life scenarios. Climate action follows mindset change, and for this, the prerequisite is access to relevant information. Our long-term goal is to create an online repository of meaningful resources for parents - articles, reports, videos, newsletters, forum groups, etc. - on circular education and environmental education in Singapore.
The Network aims to facilitate experiential and hands-on learning opportunities for parents. Through skills workshops and trainings conducted by parents for parents, we engage subject experts and practitioners and enable a fruitful peer-to-peer learning environment.
