Type:

Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) Programme (Environmental/Green Club)

Dates:

05 Feb 2026 - 12 Mar 2026

Participating Schools:

Zhenghua Primary School

The Circular Classroom was delighted to partner again with Zhenghua Primary School’s on a hands-on sustainability programme designed for Primary 5 and Primary 6 students of its Greenovation Club. Across three interactive workshops, students explored key sustainability concepts such as responsible consumption, recycling, and upcycling while discovering how their everyday choices can contribute to a greener future. Using their pre-loved school uniforms as a resource, students transformed textile waste into meaningful products through a guided design and making process. Each participant co-created a personalised pencil case from repurposed school uniforms, gaining practical skills in design thinking, creativity, and craftsmanship while experiencing the principles of the circular economy first-hand. Beyond individual creations, students also worked together on a collaborative artwork that symbolised their shared commitment to environmental stewardship and collective action. Through games, reflection activities, and hands-on making, the programme fostered sustainability awareness, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of ownership for positive environmental change. By turning old uniforms into new possibilities, Zhenghua Primary School’s young Greenovators demonstrated that waste is not simply something to throw away - it can become the starting point for creativity, innovation, and meaningful climate action.
