Dates:
06 Jul 2024 - 10 Jul 2024
Participating Schools:
Our Primary School exhibition "Circularity in Action: School Uniforms for a Greener Singapore" recently made its way to Anglo-Chinese School (Primary) and was displayed at the school from 8-10 July 2024 In conjunction with the exhibition, we also organised a sustainability and repurposing workshop on 6 July 2024. Approximately 40 students and parents attended the session. During the workshop, participants hand-sewed owls from pre-loved uniforms. Read more about the workshop on the ACS (Primary) PSG website here. Owls, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, and protection, are remarkable creatures known for their exceptional navigational abilities. Notably, Singapore is home to six owl species, including the critically endangered spotted wood owl. The workshop served not only as a valuable activity promoting green practices but also as a reminder of the importance of protecting biodiversity through sustainable production and consumption. A big thank you to Anglo-Chinese School (Primary), Mr Lincoln Shen (Head of Department, Science), and Ms Kristiana Poe (ACS(P) Parent Support Group Executive Committee) for their collaboration and active engagement with the school community.
