Another meaningful intergenerational project that we started in March 2025! We were happy to partner with Beatty Secondary School and the school's English Department on a sustainability project where we engaged 25 Sec 2 students across different classes. Together, we co-created tote bags - some for the students and some for senior citizens from the Toa Payoh West Community Centre. Initiated by the school, also organised a sustainability workshop for the seniors and students and jointly crafted an artwork made of pre-loved school uniforms inspired by Peranakan design. The unique art piece incorporated cultural patterns, geometric lattices, floral elements, and auspicious symbols. We also conducted a special session for the Beatty Secondary School Parent Support Group to learn about sustainability and contribute additional elements to the final art piece.
