As part of Go Green SG 2024, we showcased our exhibition "Circularity in Action: School Uniforms for a Greener Singapore" at Tampines Meridian Junior College (TMJC) from 2-4 July 2024. At the same time, we also kickstarted a Value-In-Action Programme with TMJC students. From early July to mid-August, nearly 50 J1 students embark on a meaningful journey of creativity and service, making tote bags from pre-loved school uniforms, which can be for example used as gifts for graduating students. The programme offers a fantastic opportunity for applied and experiential learning. During this process, students will strengthen their understanding of sustainability and sustainable consumption behaviour. By repurposing school uniforms, students not only build self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment but also have the chance to showcase their skills and creativity.
