Throughout July 2023, Changkat Primary School (CKPS), the CKPS Partners in Education (PIE) Club and The Circular Classroom joined the nation-wide Go Green SG movement, an initiative led by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment that rallied the community to take collective action towards a sustainable future for Singapore. The Learning Days "Threads of Unity and Sustainability" focused on the textile industry and its impact on the environment. Responsible production and consumption are key to prevent environmental degradation and combat climate change. This project helped build a green mindset among CKPS students and encouraged them to commit to sustainable textile practices, for example by rethinking the use and lifespan of their school uniforms.
