Sometimes, the most enjoyable crafting sessions are those where everyone gets to create something practical to take home! This time, our senior friends at the Active Ageing Centre made their very own drawstring bags using pre-loved school uniforms, adding a little handmade flower for a personal touch. The activity combined both machine sewing and hand sewing, giving everyone an opportunity to put their skills to good use. From measuring and cutting the fabric to stitching the bags and carefully attaching the floral decorations, there was plenty to keep everyone busy. It was a busy and productive session, filled with conversation, teamwork and the satisfaction of seeing a finished product take shape.
