On 1 November 2026, the Istana will open its doors to the public for its Open House, coinciding with EmployWell: Walk for Work 2026, the signature fundraising event organised by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Foundation. We are delighted that The Circular Classroom will be part of the Community Marketplace, joining organisations committed to building a more inclusive and sustainable Singapore. The event brings businesses and communities together to champion inclusive employment and raise funds for EmployWell, an initiative that creates meaningful employment pathways for vulnerable individuals. At The Circular Classroom, we believe that sustainability is not only about reducing waste and conserving resources, but also about creating opportunities for people. Through our work repurposing pre-loved school uniforms, we aim to generate positive environmental and social impact. We are particularly pleased that SBF Foundation has featured our collaboration with the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) as an example of how circularity and inclusive employment can go hand in hand. Through this partnership, we create purposeful work opportunities for SAMH clients while giving discarded school uniforms a second life as useful everyday products. We look forward to connecting with visitors and fellow community partners at the marketplace, sharing our work and demonstrating how small, practical initiatives can contribute to a more circular and inclusive economy.
