In partnership with the Singapore Education Network (SEN), the Circular Classroom hosted the first Singapore Education Lounge of 2024 on 12 January at Peace Centre, bringing together educators and community members for a simple and practical session on circularity in education. The session focused on how sustainable consumption can be introduced in schools. Participants were given an overview of a pilot study conducted with parents and students in partnership with SMU-X, along with examples of school activities that encourage more mindful use of resources. The session also included a hands-on activity using pre-loved school uniforms, giving participants a chance to explore how materials can be reused in a practical way. Overall, the evening provided a space to share ideas, connect, and reflect on small, realistic steps towards more sustainable practices in schools.
