Celebrating 60 years is a special milestone! As part of Changkat Primary School's 60th Anniversary celebrations, the school set itself an ambitious goal: to create over 1,000 small tokens of appreciation for visitors and guests. The Circular Classroom was happy to support this initiative by working with our senior friends at THK Active Ageing Centre Cassia and Kaki Bukit to transform pre-loved Changkat Primary School uniforms into adorable little owl keepsakes. Interestingly, Changkat Primary School's mascot is actually a penguin, not an owl! While our little owls, made from the school's distinctive blue and light-yellow uniform fabrics, may not be an exact match, it is the thought that counts. Each one carries a little piece of the school's history and spirit. The real stars of this contribution were our seniors at THK Active Ageing Centre Cassia and Kakit Bukit. Through their patience, creativity and handiwork, they produced over 100 little owls to contribute to the school's anniversary celebrations. What started as a simple crafting activity became an opportunity for the seniors to play an active role in celebrating an important milestone in their wider community. It is a wonderful example of how school celebrations can extend beyond the school gates, connecting generations and giving seniors an opportunity to contribute their skills and time to a shared purpose.
