Do you want to build a snowman? That was the theme of our final workshop of 2026 with the wonderful seniors at THK Active Ageing Centre at Cassia. For this festive session, we gave pre-loved school uniforms a new life as adorable little snowmen. Scraps from white school uniform shirts became the snowmen's bodies, while red PE shirt fabric made colourful scarves and orange fabric was perfect for their little carrot noses. For the classic top hats, we used dark PE shirt material, carefully quilted into shape. Even the buttons from old school shirts found a new purpose! And to make our snowmen nice and cuddly, we reused stuffing from an old pillow. It was a lovely way to end another year of creativity, crafting and good company with our seniors. Every little snowman was different, with its own character and charm, and a wonderful reminder of how much we can create from materials that already exist. As we wrap up our last session of 2026, we wish all our seniors a happy festive season and end to the year. We look forward to seeing everyone again in January, healthy, active and ready for another year of creating together!
