Christmas came a little early at THK Active Ageing Centre (AAC) Cassia! During our monthly gathering with the seniors, we got into the festive spirit by creating a colourful Christmas tree from pre-loved school uniforms. Each triangular piece of the tree was made from a different school uniform fabric, showcasing the wonderful diversity of colours, patterns and materials found across Singapore's schools. Connected with buttons, the individual pieces came together to form a unique Christmas decoration - a lovely reminder of how different elements can create something beautiful when brought together. What we particularly love about our regular sessions at Active Ageing Centres is how they bring people together across cultures, religions and backgrounds. Whether celebrating Christmas, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya or Deepavali, our seniors embrace each occasion with curiosity, appreciation and joy. And just like our Christmas tree, made from many different school uniforms, it is this diversity that makes our time together so special.
