Sometimes, the most meaningful gifts are the ones we create together. As the Centre Manager at THK Active Ageing Centre Cassia prepares to go on maternity leave, our senior friends wanted to send her off with something special - a handmade bouquet of flowers filled with love and good wishes. Of course, at The Circular Classroom, flowers come in a slightly different form! Using pre-loved school uniforms and colourful textile scraps, we set out to create a vibrant bouquet that would last long beyond the occasion. Everyone had a part to play. Some seniors carefully cut and shaped the fabric petals, others assembled the flowers, while a few helped arrange the colourful creations into a beautiful bouquet. Each flower was a little different, reflecting the creativity and personal touch of its maker. Unlike fresh flowers, this bouquet will never wilt - a lasting reminder of the friendships, care and wonderful memories shared at the centre.
